Golden Age for Romance Writing?

Golden age for Writers and Marketing Writing Online is about writing on the Internet in this day and age.

Arguably, advances in search engine algorithms have created a virtuous circle for authors of romance and all other writing.

The article suggests that the systems now allow writers to concentrate on creativity and writing expertise and that it is excellence in writing that will bring fame and fortune.

Bagpipe Lover – a short story romance about a piper, love at first sight plus a bit of mystery by Rob Hopcott

Bagpipe Lover is a short story romance involving musical love at first sight and a bit of mystery by Rob Hopcott.

After playing his piece at a folk music session, the piper glances in the direction of the bar. What he sees there transfixes him. If previously he didn’t believe in coup de foudre or love at first sight, he does now.

After spending the rest of the evening watching her being chatted up by several other men, unfortunately, including her husband, the bagpipe player leaves the inn to return home.

Unexpectedly, in the quiet lane, as the bagpipe player stands by his car watching the stars, he is joined by the lady from the bar. They embrace as if they had always been lovers but then she has to depart almost at once just leaving a promise that they will meet again, but refusing to give him her name.

This short story romance ends on a hopeful and happy note but the mystery of who is this new lover is unresolved.

This short story romance is to be continued.

Spicing up Romance

In Smart Touch of Spice, Alice is a prim and proper lady who is criticised by her husband for being unadventurous. She sets out to prove him wrong and, inadvertently, creates the circumstances to put matters to rights in other ways.

Romance is wonderful but can fade with time. I hope this relationship crime story raises a smile.
